Casinos for foreigners in and near Seoul: five options and what to bring

Korean citizens living in Korea cannot enter these casinos, but foreign visitors can. Bring your passport: it is checked at the door.

  • Bring your passport. It is checked at the entrance to confirm age and nationality.
  • You must be 19 or older.
  • Three casinos are in Seoul itself. Two more are on Yeongjong Island, next to Incheon Airport.

In Seoul

Seven Luck Casino, Gangnam COEX

The closest option if you are staying in Gangnam. It sits beside the COEX complex at 58 Teheran-ro 87-gil, Gangnam-gu, and is open 24 hours, every day of the year, with 82 tables and 121 slot machines.

Seven Luck Casino, Seoul Dragon City

In Yongsan, central Seoul, on the 5th floor of the convention tower at Seoul Dragon City. Also open 24 hours, all year. Expect a passport check and a metal detector at the entrance.

Paradise Casino Walkerhill

In the Walkerhill hotel complex in Gwangjin-gu, on the eastern edge of the city above the Han River. Like the others, it is for foreign visitors only.

Near Incheon Airport

Paradise City

An integrated resort on Yeongjong Island, close to Incheon International Airport. Its casino opened in 2017, is for foreigners only, and is open 24 hours.

Inspire Entertainment Resort

The newest of the five, opened in February 2024 on Yeongjong Island, with 150 gaming tables and 390 slot machines. It is about a 15-minute drive from Incheon Airport.

Both island resorts are roughly an hour or more from Gangnam by car, so they fit best on your arrival or departure day.

Outside Seoul

Casinos for foreign visitors also operate in Busan and on Jeju, and we can plan a trip around them too.

How we plan a casino night

We pick you up from your hotel, drive you in a private car, and walk you in. Your host helps at the exchange desk, interprets when you need it, waits as long as you play, and drives you back afterwards. A stay at a hotel linked to the casino can be part of the plan, and dinner nearby beforehand is easy to add.

One more thing: decide your limit before you sit down. It makes for a better night.

Can Korean citizens enter?
Not if they live in Korea. These five casinos are licensed for foreign visitors.
Is there a dress code?
The casinos above do not publish a strict one. Smart casual is a safe choice, and we tell you in advance if anything on your plan has a dress rule.
Which one should I choose?
For a night from Gangnam, Seven Luck COEX is closest. For a resort stay, Paradise City or Inspire, ideally on the day you fly in or out.
